Private Equity – November 2021 Investment Trends

The trending private equity investment sectors for November 2021 were Pharma – Contract Research, Cloud Native Software and Enterprise Resource Planning Software. Overall, software acquisitions overwhelmingly represent the top industry of interest for private equity firms.

Pharma – Contract Research

Ampersand Capital Partners invested in Alliance Pharma (Malvern, PA, US), a Contract Research Organization (CRO) specializing in Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) and bioanalytical services for both small and large molecules.

EQT Partners and Goldman Sachs invested in Parexel (Durham, NC, US), a global clinical research organization that supports pharma and biotech companies in managing clinical trials.

Software – Cloud Native

Brighton Park Capital invested in Reltio (Redwood City, CA, US), a cloud-native data management platform used to connect and manage customer, product and other operational data.

TPG and H.I.G. Capital invested in Everlaw (Oakland, CA, US), a cloud-native investigation and litigation platform.

Software – Enterprise Resource Planning

Accel-KKR invested in Enmark (Ann Arbor, MI, US), a provider of ERP software for the metal industry.

DCA Capital Partners invested in Bonafide Medical Group (Thousand Oaks, CA, US), a provider of ERP software with a healthcare facility portal for Durable Medical Equipment (DME), acute care, and long-term care healthcare settings.

YFM Equity Partners invested in Cooper Software (Dalgety Bay, Fife, UK), an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software specialist.
