The trending private equity investment sectors for January 2022 were Software – Cloud Based, Healthcare – Therapy, and Manufacturing.

Sample transactions for each category are highlighted below.

Software – Cloud Based

Spectrum Equity invested in RxVantage (El Segundo, CA, US), a cloud based software and data platform that allows high value healthcare providers to access and engage with life sciences professionals and brands.

HKW invested in Technical Toolboxes (Houston, TX, US), a provider of cloud-based analytics and compliance-oriented software solutions to pipeline operators, as well as related engineering companies, construction service providers, and industrial inspection firms.

True Wind Capital Management invested in W Energy SoftWare (Tulsa, OK, US), a provider of cloud-based accounting and ERP software.

Healthcare – Therapy

General Atlantic invested in PT Solutions (Atlanta, GA, US), a provider of physical therapy services. PT Solutions offers a comprehensive suite of services including physical, occupational and speech therapy, sports medicine, industrial rehabilitation and medical fitness.

One Equity Partners invested in InfuCare Rx (Aston, PA, US), a nationwide specialty infusion therapy services provider for patients with complex conditions.

Rallyday Partners invested in Performance Physical Therapy (Providence, RI, US),  a provider of physical therapy.


Manufacturing – Construction

One Equity Partners invested in Rosboro (Springfield, OR, US),  a manufacturer of engineered wood products used in residential and light commercial construction including glued laminated timber (glulam) and other lumber products..

Polaris Capital Group invested in Space Value Holding (Tokyo, Japan), a developer, manufacturer and provider of construction and after-sales service of prefabricated housing and other systemized construction buildings and multi-story parking structures.

Manufacturing – Electronics

Crestview Partners invested in Emerald EMS (Salem, NH, US),  an electronics manufacturing services provider specializing in high-mix, low-volume engineering, design, prototyping, testing, assembly and lifecycle support services for blue-chip original equipment manufacturers.
